The 25th Annual Taste Canada Awards took place November 7th at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel. This year 87 cookbooks entered the completion representing authors from 9 provinces. In total, 17 gold and silver award winners were announced at the gala, raising awareness for all other Canadian culinary writers in attendance. 25 years deserves a party, so that is what followed the formal ceremonies as guests and chefs mingled to enjoy a bounty- full closing by well known Toronto chefs for food and wine pairings.
