Sponsors, VIP guests and media had the opportunity May 18th to attend a special weigh-in at the legendary El Mocombo. Let me explain. You see these young men and women have been training in Olympic style boxing for the past 6 months (several others 3 years) all to prepare for the big event Saturday May 27th when the 10th Annual Fight To End Cancer black tie gala took place at the Old Mill Toronto.
The welcoming reception featured Las Vagas style pre show entertainment with a gourmet dinner and later, amazing boxing hosted by Angie Seth Of CTV News Channel.
We heard that many are doing this because of a personal story of losing a loved one to cancer. Sadly we all can relate to that. All proceeds this year will again go to support work done by the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. Our thanks to Jennifer Huggins for the invitation to attend this important event.
