“Love You” was the the theme title to mark the 30th Anniversary of In Look Good Feel Better change from better to Better held November 11th at the Westin Harbour Castle Toronto. It was especially exciting to once again connect with friends and loyal sponsors of the charity for this milestone evening. Most would agree that Cynthia Mulligan of CityTV did an excellent job as Emcee. Her personal story of living with, and now overcoming cancer represented so many other women in attendance. LGFB delivers supportive health care for women across the country by raising awareness and funds through the Mirror Ball. Presenting Sponsors led by Shoppers Drug Mark understand that self confidence in appearance goes a long way towards better mental health in promoting a positive attitude essential for cancer recovery. Yes, serious work but this night was high energy starting with “Handsome” Harry Santa-Olalla really working the live auction. What a character he was. But wait, who could go home after dinner when the St. Royals took over the stage doing a non-stop set from Motown classics to hits by Bruno Mars, as in 24 Karat Gold and Uptown Funk as the closing numbers.
If you missed the gala and would like to help visit; lgfb.ca Our thanks to Amelia Owens for the invitation to cover this important event. Jody Glaser
