The pink carpet was rolled out September 24th for the 11th anniversary of the after BREAST CANCER Pink Diamond Gala this year held at the new location of Bellvue Manor in Vaughan. Unlike other galas, this fundraising celebration is always held on a Sunday afternoon to celebrate the breast cancer survivors and S/HE Ambassadors. Founder & Executive Director Alicia Vianga was joined by other Board of Directors to introduce the Aftercare For Survivors Program, recent cancer graduates and loyal leading sponsors.
This year was very special having CTV National Anchor Sandie Rinaldo as the keynote speaker bravely sharing her personal story of why after BREAST CANCER matters to her family. Serious topics for sure although there was plenty of high energy entertainment during the gala to add to the celebration including Duality, Roberta Battaglia, Nickola Magnolia and last on stage, Karl Wolf. All proceeds will go the ABC Care Kit! and Thrive Programs for women who are financially burdened following a mastectomy surgery and others who will be going into surgery.
