Unison Caravan of Music
The Unison Caravan of Music took place at the beautiful Old Mill in the west end of Toronto on April 12th. That date also marked the 60th birthday of Jaymz Bee from JAZZ.FM91 who has been an original board member of the Unison Fund since the beginning. There were 24 performances in 12 rooms for this caravan where all artists donated their time to suppor this non-profit charity that provides councelling and emergency relief services to the Canadian music community in times of hardship, illness or economic difficulty.
What a night this was hosted by Molly Johnson with performers including Jackie Richardson, Jane Bunnette, Theo Tams and so many other jazz greats. Guests were treated to other music stylings as well from the blues to the JAZZ.FM91 Youth Big Band. Congratulations to all the performers, volunteers and thanks to Jaymz Bee for the invitation to be part of his birthday fundraiser.
