Once again, this time January 24th, an amazing night of live competitive painting was held at the Great Hall on Queen Street West. You see Art Battle Canada is searching for the best painters across Canada in major cities. The Great Hall in Toronto is where this all started many years ago and the challenge is on. Art Battle or AB as those in the know would say, brings both new and experienced painters to the easels for a timed session where a live band keeps up the energy while an emcee counts down the final minutes allowed. Throughout the night, different sets of painters face-off to see who will be declared the winner for Toronto in this case. Then finalists will be invited to qualify to see who will win the 2023 Art Battle National Championship. With fans cheering from above and all around, this event is almost like a sporting event with music – not a bad idea at all.
