The 72nd anniversary of the Rogers Conn Smythe Sports Celebrity Dinner and Auction was held March 29th, a very fitting date in that March is Easter Seals Month. Attracting 800 plus guests to the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, this was the largest turn out yet. During the dinner that was hosted by Sid Seixeiro of Breakfast Television, we heard many motivational stories from this organization that itself celebrated a 100 year anniversary in 2022.
The head table guests were well known sports celebrities who have supported Easter Seals families for many years. In particular, three-time Olympic Gold Medalist, Marnie McBean who was the recipient of the Conn Symthe Lifetime Achievement Award. Later another important highlight was the introduction of the two young 2023 Easter Seals Ambassadors, Niki Tokhi and Ryerson Beardmore.
